The new series of 'New Zealand on a Plate' explores the regional cuisine of New Zealand and celebrates innovative businesses exporting their produce around the world.
Our very own 'AngusPure Special Reserve' was featured in episode 2. In this episode, Blanket Bay chef Corey Hume visits Hamish Mackenzie on his farm, Braemar Station in the South Island High Country. It's here that Corey learns what makes AngusPure so unique; the environment is rich in nutrients, growing some of the finest grasses for the cattle to forage on, and producing AngusPure beef with fine marbling and extraordinary flavour.
After the farm visit, Corey heads across the powder blue waters of Lake Pukaki to cook a beef carpaccio dish at Glentanner (Aoraki, Mount Cook), and then treats guests to the main fare of AngusPure Special Reserve tenderloin at Queenstown's Blanket Bay.
