Northern Steamship Co.
The Northern Steamship Co. building dates from the 19th century and was the head-office until 1976.
The building, in the historic Britomart precinct in Downtown Auckland, is now home to the Northern Steamship Co. Brewbar & Restaurant, and it retains all of the building’s historic beauty with its high ornate ceiling and massive curved windows on all sides.
The Brewbar really embodies what the Macs Brewery stands for; all natural ingredients, a distinctly New Zealand feel and innovation where it counts.
Most of all, it’s a place where people can meet old friends or make new ones, relax and enjoy a great beer (one of the nine specialty Macs beers on tap) and some fantastic New Zealand food.
We serve native New Zealand cuisine, with a hint of spice.
